Where Should I Travel in France and Why

I am planning to travel to France next year. I have never been there before. Where in your opinion must I go to get the best experience of what France has to offer?

Definitely Paris. It is the only city I've ever been in but it is definitely a must. There are a lot of thing to do, you can take a trip in the bateaux through the Senna. You can also get to the top of the Eiffel Tower and get one of the most beautiful views of the city. I also recommend you to visit the museums. There are several in there. Churches, bars, cafés, restaurants, monuments, beautiful girls. Paris has everything you can ask for.

Along with Paris (there are so many amazing sites like Moulin Rouge, Sacre-Coeur, the Sienne, etc.) I would suggest Nice/St Tropez if you wanted to see more breath taking views & the most gorgeous beach ever. Also, Monaco is rich with Royal Culture. While I visited I also went to Avignon, which has the cutest small town charm. Um, Aix-En-Provence & Saint-Etienne too. Hope this sparks some ideas. Enjoy your trip!!

Merci beaucoup! I am currently reading some books on France, the kind that are written by ex-pats about their experiences. I would love to walk, ride or take a train through the countryside. I need to speak good French to see more out of the way places. Just like Spain (which I know well), anywhere you go is probably interesting. Especially for an American. We don't have as many historical-cultural monuments so close together.
