Concerning your question :I would love it if you would just shut up, a French person would say :
polite form : "J'aimerais que tu te taises"
rude form :
"J'adorerais que tu la fermes" ou "ça me plairait que tu la fermes" ou "tu peux pas la fermer ?".
"la fermer" means "shut (it) up" ie "shut your mouth up".
